Ahmed Khan

Ahmed Khan's luminous paintings, in which a traditional interpretation of line and form are reassessed as calligraphic designs assimilate a unique and complex process.Years of experimentation with chemicals and silver foil manipulated by the artist's expertise resulted in work that is awesome in its beauty. Ahmed Khan graduated with Distinction from NCA in 1963, and joined the faculty as a Lecturer in graphic design.He began a research project in folk art and design in every region of the country which resulted in an exhibition at the Commonwealth Institute, London. As a printmaker he excelled, his work is contained in many important national and international collections. He was the first to introduce three dimensional elements on canvas and he also created outstanding sculpture. Ahmed Khan was the recipient of a National Award by Pakistan National Council of the Arts in 1984. In 1987, he was awarded Top Honors at the First Lahore Art Biennale. In 1996, the PNCA accorded him the Shakir Ali Award.He continues to focus on his work in his Lahore studio.

Asghar Ali

Born in Lahore in 1965, Muhammad Asghar Ali, Calligraphy Artist is humble and gentle by nature, His innate passion for calligraphy and painting is best desrcribed as 'what the heart thinks the mind obeys'. The Religious intensity with which Asghar exhibits his talent and creative potential exposed itself during his eight years in Saudi Arbia, where a special selection committee assigned him the monumental task of naqqashi restoration work on the domes of Masjid-e-Nabvi in madina al Munawwara.He did well and his labour of devotion and love was highly acclaimed. Asghar Ali's paintings adorn the halls of top personalities and public buildings including the Prime Minister's house in Islamabad.visiting dignitaries are presented his calligraphy art by the Chief Minister Punjab.He Has numerous solo and group exhibitions at national and international level at its credit. Asghar Ali was awarded the first prize in the calligraphy competition held at the Holy Makkah, Saudi Arabia in which renowned calligraphers from 36 Arab and Muslim countries participated.
