Miniature painting started as a necessity for the use of illustrating and manuscripts to aid the reader to be able to read them later when they are not available, miniature paintings were popular before printing was invented. Miniature paintings usually have a very smooth surface and are relatively small in size than a usual canvas. Miniature paintings were as a form of book art to help convey stories and meaning of written literature.
